Let's Get to Know Each Other

Situation: I went to visit a friend in the hospital the day after she delivered her baby. During my visit, her doctor walked in the room. He was so attractive I could hardly believe my eyes. After he left, I told my friend that I couldn't believe how hot he was. She said that she didn't really think about it. I gave it some thought and I just don't think that I could see an OB/GYN that I would be attracted to if I saw him on the street. For me, an OB/GYN has to be ugly, an older man (even if he were attractive, he's old. Old negates attractive for me.) or a female. A woman has a distinct "relationship" with her OB/GYN. Being attracted to this caregiver would cross the boundary for me. It's best not to blur the line between seeing someone to keep my reproductive system healthy and ...

Question: How about you? Would you see an OB/GYN whom you found to be extremely or even marginally attractive? Why or why not?

No way, because I couldn't bear my chances (if I were single) to be negated by a potentially ugly cooter since I would have nothing to compare it to, whereas he would.

Plus, in my case, I'd hate to be tempted to throw out the ridiculously blatant request that a nice, attactive doctor should be able to provide donor insemmination, right?

Sorry, it this crosses the line for decency here. If you have to delete, do so without guilt.

Being attracted to someone who has beeen "down there" should only happen when you sleep next to him every night. End of story.

And dd's "cooter" comment cracks me up.

No, but my gay proctologist is THE BEST!

And why's everybody talking about lovable ol' Cooter, the mechanic from "Dukes of Hazzard"?

I can't even go to an old ugly male OB/GYN...I had to go to a female, both times. :) Actually for Lana it was a guy who delivered her, (he was one of my Drs partners) but at that point I didn't care anymore. There is no way I could go to one I found attractive! I agree with you!

My preferred OB/GYN is a woman. And when my daughter goes for her checkup it will be a woman for her. I try to get a male doctor to see my son when he has to go.

DD,

You make me laugh so hard! I wouldn't delete your comment for the world. When talk turns to OB/GYNs, you can't help but avoid cooters... ;)
